The ACUSD/ACOE Community Newsletter is a weekly communication from the Amador County Unified School District and Amador County Office of Education. The purpose of this newsletter is to keep our families, staff, and community members informed about our district!

Help our Foster and Homeless Youth! 🧤
|
We are looking for donations of warm clothes for students of all ages, such as jackets, hats, gloves, scarves, socks, etc. Any new or slightly used donations are greatly appreciated.
There are collection boxes at Argonaut High School, Ione Elementary, Sutter Creek Elementary, Plymouth Elementary, and Pine Grove Elementary.
Boxes will be collected on December 19th.

Reminder: Intra-District Transfer Window Now Open
|
The Intra-district transfer application period for the 2025-2026 school year is now open. Applications will be accepted through Friday, December 20, 2024. Please note there are strict timelines for accepting applications, and no application will be accepted after the deadline of December 20th.
Forms are available to download on our website, or they can be picked up at your school office.

Amador Drama Presents Alice by Heart 🐇
|
Amador Drama will perform various showings of Alice by Heart in December. Show dates are as follows:
- Tuesday, December 10 at 6:00 pm
- Thursday, December 12 at 6:00 pm
- Saturday, December 14 at 2:00 pm
- Saturday, December 14 at 7:00 pm
- Tuesday, December 17 at 6:00 pm
- Thursday, December 19 at 6:00 pm
- Friday, December 20 at 6:00 pm
All showings will be held in the Amador High Drama Room.

The next School Board meeting will take place on December 18 at the Amador County Administration Center located at 810 Court St. Jackson, CA 95642. Open Session begins at 6:30 p.m.

Families First for Thanksgiving! 🦃
|
The ACOE Department of School & Community Integration, in partnership with the Interfaith Food Bank of Amador County and King's Meats of Diamond Springs, came together to spread holiday cheer! This year, we were honored to donate 11 Thanksgiving Meals to families across Amador County.
