The ACUSD/ACOE Community Newsletter is a weekly communication from the Amador County Unified School District and Amador County Office of Education. The purpose of this newsletter is to keep our families, staff, and community members informed about our district!

Community Night at Amador Adult Education

Community Night at Amador Adult Education is coming up at the end of the month! We will have many local community agencies present to showcase what they do to support our community. We look forward to seeing you there!

Amador Dental Health Partnership would like to better understand your family’s dental health needs. We are inviting parents and caregivers who live in Amador County to complete this survey. We will use the responses to improve local dental programs.

School Board Updates

The next School Board meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 26, at the Amador County Administration Center located at 810 Court St. Jackson, CA 95642. Open Session begins at 6:30 p.m.

Celebrating Music in our Schools Month! 🎵

March is Music in Our Schools Month! Music in Our Schools Month (MIOSM) is celebrated every March to recognize the importance of music education in schools. At the March 5 board meeting, music teacher Sophia Rechel spoke to the board about the importance of music and band in our county, and members of the combined Argonaut and Amador band played a short performance. You can watch their performance here.

Community Supports Argonaut Student Leadership

Argonaut Student Leadership is going to the California Association of Student Leaders (CASL) Conference in April! The CASL Conference is a transformative experience for our students, providing them with an opportunity to develop leadership skills, gain confidence, and network with student leaders from across the state. The group is thankful to those in our community who made the experience possible.
