The ACUSD/ACOE Community Newsletter is a weekly communication from the Amador County Unified School District and Amador County Office of Education. The purpose of this newsletter is to keep our families, staff, and community members informed about our district!

Fall Break

October 13-17 is Fall Break!
We hope everyone has a fun and safe break. We look forward to seeing everyone again on Monday, October 20.
There will not be a Weekly Community Newsletter next week due to the break.

Big Game Trunk or Treat 🍬

Argonaut will be hosting a trunk-or-treat event at the Big Game on Friday, October 31! 

If you have a stadium parking spot for the big game, we invite you to decorate your vehicle and hand out Halloween treats.

Dia de los Muertos 💐

Plymouth Elementary is holding its annual Dia de los Muertos celebration on Friday, October 24! Stop by for music, food, and games, with a special dance performance from Noxtin Nomecayotzin Education.

News From the Community

Angel Tree Applications Now Available 🎄

Applications for the 2024 Angel Tree program are currently open! This program is available for eligible Amador County children ages 0-17. 
Please fill out the application form and submit it to Nexus Youth & Family Services no later than November 14th, 2024. Applications are attached to this message and are available in both English and Spanish. Drop off or mail the application to one of the community centers listed on the application or to the Nexus main office, located at 601 Court St., Suite 205, Jackson, CA 95642.

Kids Community Bulletin

 

School Board Updates

Please note that an additional School Board Meeting has been scheduled for October.
The next School Board meeting will take place on October 28, 2025, at the Amador County Administration Center located at 810 Court St., Jackson, CA 95642. ACUSD Open Session begins at 6:30 p.m. There will not be an ACOE meeting on this date.

Plymouth Elementary Challenge Coins

Principal Horacek recognized 4 amazing Plymouth Elementary staff members with Challenge Coins at the October 8 board meeting! Thank you to Sarah Borba, Lindsay Whitchurch, Sarah Phipps, and Debbie Guidera for your commitment to our students.
