The ACUSD/ACOE Community Newsletter is a weekly communication from the Amador County Unified School District and Amador County Office of Education. The purpose of this newsletter is to keep our families, staff, and community members informed about our district!

School Site News

Jug and Rose 7.7 Mile Walk/Run


Date: Saturday, November 1, 2025
Starting Time: 9:00 am
Location: Volcano

The non-competitive walk is at 9:15 a.m. and the open walk at 9:30 a.m. The run is at 10 a.m.
Ribbons and shirts go to all participants. Awards go to the winners of the open walk and female and male winners of the run. In addition, awards go to the winners of the 10-year age divisions of the run.

Early registration is $25, closing Friday, October 24. Race-day registration is $30. Entry forms are available by contacting Amador High Performing Arts, 330 Spanish Street, Sutter Creek, CA 95685, gturner@acusd.org or 209-257-7329.

 

News From the Community

Angel Tree Applications Now Available 🎄

Applications for the 2024 Angel Tree program are currently open! This program is available for eligible Amador County children ages 0-17. 
Please fill out the application form and submit it to Nexus Youth & Family Services no later than November 14th, 2024. Applications are attached to this message and are available in both English and Spanish. Drop off or mail the application to one of the community centers listed on the application or to the Nexus main office, located at 601 Court St., Suite 205, Jackson, CA 95642.

Parent & Caregiver Survey

We want to make sure that the programs and services available in Amador County truly meet the needs of our students and families. To help guide community planning, Amador County Behavioral Health and Amador County Public Health are asking for your input.

October 19 - 25 is Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Week! Please see the attached information from the California Department of Public Health about how to keep your child safe from lead in baby foods.

School Board Updates

The next ACUSD School Board meeting will take place on October 28, 2025, at the Amador County Administration Center located at 810 Court St., Jackson, CA 95642. Open Session begins at 6:30 p.m.

There will be no ACOE School Board meeting on this date. The next regularly-scheduled ACOE Board Meeting will take place on November 12, 2025.
